What is SSH through HTTP Proxy with Payload?
Using SSH through an HTTP proxy with a payload allows you to route your SSH traffic through a proxy server while also applying a payload for added functionality or obfuscation. This method provides an additional layer of privacy and security and can help in bypassing network restrictions while disguising your traffic as regular HTTP requests.
Benefits of SSH through HTTP Proxy with Payload
- Hides your SSH traffic within regular HTTP traffic.
- Bypasses network restrictions and firewalls.
- Provides an additional layer of privacy and security.
- Allows customization of payload for enhanced functionality.
Using "SSH Proxy + Payload" Feature in ZIVPN
SSH through an HTTP proxy with a payload can be configured in ZIVPN using the following methods:
1. In-App Free SSH Proxy Account
Follow these steps to use SSH through an HTTP proxy with a payload directly from the ZIVPN app:
- Access the Server List: Double-click on the field in the ZIVPN app's main interface where "user:pass@ip:port" hints are shown. A dropdown server list will appear.
- Watch an Ad: Select the server location you want to access and watch the ad. You will receive a free SSH account with 1-day validity. This account supports multiple tunneling methods, including SSH, SlowDNS, Stunnel, and WebSocket Tunnel.
- Server Locations: To get an account for a different server location, watch an ad for that specific location.
- Configure Proxy and Payload: Input the HTTP proxy server details (such as CDN proxy) in the 'Remote Proxy' field and WebSocket payload in the Payload field within the Payload menu, then apply it.
- Connect: Use the "SSH Proxy + Payload" checkbox/feature to connect through the configured HTTP proxy with the applied payload. The app will handle the necessary configurations for you.
2. Create an SSH Account Through Any Provider
If you prefer, you can create an SSH account through any SSH provider. Here’s how:
- Account Creation: Create an SSH Direct or SSH WebSocket account from any SSH provider.
- Enter Account Information: Enter the account information in the ZIVPN app's SSH authentication text field using the "user:pass@ip:port" format.
- Configure in ZIVPN: Enter the HTTP proxy server details (CDN proxy) in the 'Remote Proxy' field and input the WebSocket payload in the Payload field within the Payload menu of the ZIVPN app, then apply it.
