What is a UDP Tunnel?
A UDP tunnel is a tunneling method that sends and receives packets over a User Datagram Protocol (UDP) connection. This type of tunnel is highly efficient for real-time applications like gaming and streaming. In ZIVPN, you can either use built-in free servers or set up your own custom UDP server to take advantage of this method.
Benefits of UDP Tunneling
- Optimized for low-latency, real-time applications.
- Offers high-speed and efficient data transfer.
- Customized tunneling based on Hysteria with UDP support.
Using Built-In UDP Servers in ZIVPN
ZIVPN provides built-in free UDP servers that can be used without requiring any account setup:
- Select the UDP Option: Open the ZIVPN app and check the "UDP" checkbox.
- Choose a Server: From the server list, select a UDP server that is closest to your location for optimal performance.
- Connect: Once selected, simply connect to the server—no account or additional configuration is needed.
